SWIMVAC
Yes it’s that time again-school holidays! If you’re looking for
something to entertain the kids why not book them in to our
vacation swimming program. Over the two weeks of the
school holidays we run swimming lessons for all classes
from 9am to 11am Monday to Friday.
Please see your Customer Service Officer for further detail
and bookings.
QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Please note that all State Swim Swimming Schools are
closed on Monday 29th September for the
Queen's Birthday Public Holiday.

WINTER REWARDS
Our Winter Rewards program has been well received, not only by the winners
of the seven Wii Consoles but by lots of the parents too. We have received
positive feedback from many parents recognising a vast improvement in
their children's swimming ability. This is due largely due to the continuity
of swimming on a weekly basis and rewarding and encouraging
improvement regularly. We would like to thank the scores of happy
kids, who were rewarded with drinks, icecreams and goggles for their
continued effort over Winter and the parents who kept up the routine.
Well done. Goes to show that we need not hibernate over the cooler months,
just get in to it and we all know it is never cold at State Swim pools.
Our lucky Winter Rewards Wii winner is Lachlan Walker.
Looks like Lachlan may have some competition from his sister
to be the first to play on his new Wii. Congratulations.
HEALTH & SPORT NEWS
Pictured-Team Bronze
The August Super Swim was yet another huge success
and it was great to see so many of our swimmers attending.
Team Bronze, Silver and Gold have been working hard at
improving their endurance and speed in their training sessions
and it definitely showed on the night as several personal best
times were beaten.
Again a big thankyou to all of the parents who came down to
support the kids and who helped out with timing.
The September Super Swim will be held on Tuesday 30th
between 6pm and 7pm.
Children that are in the 400 gold program are also able to
compete in the Super Swim night and it is a great opportunity
to experience the health and sport program and challenge
their personal best times.
Be sure to mark this date down in your diaries,
hope to see you there!
It is now September and the new times for training
have started with Team Bronze still completing an
hour of training and Team Silver and Gold completing
a 90minute session. Don’t forget that we now have
Saturday morning sessions available starting at 7am.

Natasha has been giving 100% each training session
and it is great to see her enthusiasm and passion
for swimming.
Team Silver: Stuart Wilson
Stuart has been challenging himself in his swimming
over the last month and has shown great improvement
in his endurance and speed.
Team Gold: Brooke Salvia
This month Brooke has really challenged herself in
training and has further developed her strength in
swimming-Well done Brooke.
