SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
Swimmer Of The Month for April
is Nikkita Crutwell.
Nikki has been in Team Silver at Joondalup
for several months now, has settled in very
well making friends and adapting well to our
programs. Ever since Nikki has started she
always shows great enthusiasm towards
her swimming and is consistently trying her
best. Under any program Nikki performs well
and never has to be told twice what she has
to do. Even despite several recent injuries,
Nikki still performs to her max and this is why
it’s such a pleasure to coach Nikki. Nikkita's favourite stroke is backstroke and
she doesn't mind doing either sprints or longer distance. Nikki thinks that
Joondalup is going to win the 2009 Interschool Carnival!!!
HEALTH & SPORT NEWS
All the kids are getting themselves ready for the Interschool Carnival
on the 7th June. Its JOONDALUP vs all the other northern schools,
so training is gradually being stepped up to prepare everyone for the
big day. In the past few months the coaches have noticed that the kids
are really swimming hard and its paying off. In the past 3 months we have
given out 15 Bronze Medals, 10 Silver Medals and 8 Gold Medals
This is due recognition of your child's great progress of beating their personal
best times. This is about 4 times higher than 3 years ago! Well done guys!!

The next Super Swim is on Wednesday 27th May. All Team
members and 400 Gold members are encouraged to attend.
INTERSCHOOL CARNIVAL
NEW DATE SUNDAY 7th JUNE
Due to the ever increasing popularity of our Interschool Carnival we found the
need to shift the date inorder to provide a location with a larger capacity to
accommodate our cheering spectators comfortably.
For the Joondalup Swimming School competitors,
your new location and times are as follows:
Arena Joondalup, Kennedya Drive, Joondalup
Warm up is an 12.30pm, with the competition commencing at 1.00pm.
Order of events:
100m Freestyle
50m Butterfly
50m Backstroke
50m Breaststroke
50m Freestyle
100m Individual Medley
There are a maximum of three events per swimmer. The age groups are as
follows: 8yrs and under, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11 & 12yrs, 13yrs and over
Please note the new closing date for entries is Friday 29th May.
Come along and enjoy a fantastic event and support the kids. Anyone wanting to
help out on the day, please see your head coach
