WELCOME
Hope you all had a chance to put your feet up
and relax for a while over the Easter break.
We have pleasure in bringing to you our
competition winning entries, Interschool Carnival information,
Health & Sports News and of course 'our achievers' in this edition.
WE ARE DEFINATELY OPEN ON MONDAY 27th APRIL
Working parents are encouraged to come along and let your kids show off
their skillsfor you. Please note that State Swim is
closed on Saturday 25th April, ANZAC Day.
Keep posted for our Winter Rewards program coming soon. We will tell you all
about it in our May Achievers Monthly.
Thanks to all who entered our EASTER COLOURING IN COMPETITION.
We had a huge response with some sensational entries. Our foyers always
spring to life with the children's imaginative creations, pity they have to come
down, eventually! Now for our list of State Swim Gift Voucher recipients.
It's not winners as such but just a few that shone more brightly.
We hope everyone got a little choccy treat after their lessons last week too.

Ryan is the year 6 Champion Boy in his swimming carnival and also
Faction Captain!! Ryan got first place in 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle &
50m Breastroke.
Special Mention to one of our coaches who competed at the recent
National Titles and at the completion is ranked 14 in Australia for
100 Backstroke., what a legend. Find out who it is from your coach.

This is a special reward for individuals that have performed really well over
the month(s) within their Health & Sport's Team. Performance is measured
by attending training, reaching goals, listening to coaches, improvement in
technique and personal bests.
Jemah, from Team Bronze, is committed to becoming an excellent swimmer.
Jason says Jemah listens very closely and always has a smile.

INTERSCHOOL CARNIVAL
Get ready for it, just one month to go until the
Interschool Carnival is held on
Sunday 17th May.
Mark it on your calendar and prepare to
represent Whitford City Swimming School by
applying those hard earned skills, technique
and your fitness against the other
State Swim Swimming Schools.
Supporters are very welcome but
must 'raise your voices' as cheering is
a prerequisite. Remember to wear Team
colour 'green' to further support your Whitford City team.
For our northern State Swim Swimming Schools, Joondalup,
Whitford City, Osborne Park and Ellenbrook, you will go to
Joondalup Swimming School at 6 Buick Way, Joondalup.
Warm up is an 12noon, with the competition commencing at 12.30pm.
Order of events:
100m freestyle , 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke
50m breastroke, 50m sreestyle
100m individual medley
There are a maximum of three events per swimmer.
The age groups are as follows:
8yrs and under, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11 & 12yrs, 13yrs and over.
Entry slips will be available from your coaching staff and
entries close on Friday 8th May
Come along and enjoy a fantastic event and support the kids.
Anyone wanting to help out on the day, please see your head coach.
