SWIMVAC
We are currently taking bookings for the Term 3 school holidays.
Swimvac will operate over the two school holiday weeks, listed below.
Please contact your Customer Service Officer for any further information
or bookings. It is a great chance to use those make up cards.
Week 1 – 30th September to 3rd October (4 days) $46.00
Week 2 – 6th October to 10th October (5 days) $57.50
QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Please note that all State Swim Swimming Schools are
closed on Monday 29th September for the
Queen's Birthday Public Holiday.

WINTER REWARDS
Our Winter Rewards program has been well received, not only by the winners
of the seven Wii Consoles but by lots of the parents too. We have received
positive feedback from many parents recognising a vast improvement in
their children's swimming ability. This is due largely due to the continuity
of swimming on a weekly basis and rewarding and encouraging
improvement regularly. We would like to thank the scores of happy
kids, who were rewarded with drinks, icecreams and goggles for their
continued effort over Winter and the parents who kept up the routine.
Well done. Goes to show that we need not hibernate over the cooler months,
just get in to it and we all know it is never cold at State Swim pools.
Chionia Forbes is our Winter Rewards winner of the Wii.
Chionia swims on Thursday morning in Kindergarten 2. She is very excited
as her nanna has a Wii and now there will be no fighting over who gets
to play first!

HEALTH & SPORT NEWS
After one week of Team Silver and Team Gold swimming the hour and a half
it is good to see everyone stepping up their programs and swimming more
than once a week. Remember we have Saturday mornings available for all
squads from 7 am. Watch the squad notice board to update yourselves on
records and Superswim dates. At the last Superswim our 3 year breaststroke
record was broken by Mark Martin in the time of 40.27.
Aron Lawson broke the backstroke record in the time of 32.69.
Well Done boys keep it up!
SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
Swimmer of the Month- Kamilla Joyce.
Kamilla won swimmer of the month for August after attending all of the
sessions during this month. She is a dedicated swimmer and has a
great attitude towards her swimming. Kamilla works hard during her
sessions and as Head Coach Warren says, ‘She is a pleasure to teach!’
Kamilla is in Team Bronze and is working on her times and turns to get into Team Silver.

OUR SWIMMERS
Here is Tara, Karen and Keeley Garbett. Tara is in Waterbabies and Keeley
is holding her last merit certificate in the Kindergarten class and will next week
be eligible to go into the Torpedo class.
This is Lilly Fawcett who is in the Waterbabies class. Running on the
mat is her favourite!
