WELCOME
Hope you all had a chance to put your feet up and relax for a while over the
Easter break. We have pleasure in bringing to you our competition winning
entries, Health & Sports News and of course 'our achievers' in this edition.
WE ARE DEFINATELY OPEN ON MONDAY 27th APRIL
Working parents are encouraged to come along and let your kids show off their
skillsto you. Please note that State Swim is
closed Saturday 25th April, ANZAC Day.

Thanks to all who entered our EASTER COLOURING IN COMPETITION.
We had a huge response with some sensational entries. Our foyers always
spring to life with the children's imaginative creations, pity they have to come
down, eventually! Now for our list of State Swim Gift Voucher recipients.
It's not winners as such but just a few that shone more brightly. You can
see them below in this month's newsletter.

For all you early birds, you can now get the West Australian from Monday to
Saturday at the East Fremantle Swimming School. Now you can 'step' out of
the pool (on our new steps) grab a coffee and paper and be on your way!

SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
Team Bronze: Lauren Holliday
Lauren achieved this award for working really hard at each training
session and for being a keen participant.
Keep up the good work and I'm sure you will make it to Team Silver soon.
Team Silver: Ayesha Cutter
Ayesha always bring a very fun and determined attitude with her to
swimming training. This is a great attribute to have.
Team Gold: George Allen
George is awarded for his determination and effort he continues to display.
George is always pushing himself as hard as he can and the
results will follow!
School Carnivals are happening at most schools. Why not let us know how
you went in your school carnival, it would be great to share your successes
in our next newsletter.
The next Super Swim is on Tuesday 28th April. We encourage all Team
and 400 Gold members to attend. For all your Super Swim Records
please see reception.
INTERSCHOOL CARNIVAL
Get ready for it, just one month to go until the Interschool Carnival
is held on Sunday 17th May. Mark it on your calendar and prepare to represent
Secret Harbour Swimming School by applying those hard earned skills,
technique and your fitness against the other State Swim swimming schools.
Supporters are very welcome but must 'raise your voices' as cheering is a
prerequisite. You could also wear something in your schools team colour
which is 'blue' to represent your team too.
For our southern State Swim Swimming Schools,
Canning Vale, East Fremantle and Secret Harbour, you will go to the
Canning Vale Swimming School at 39 Catalano Circuit, Canning Vale.
Warm up is an 12.30pm, with the competition commencing at 1.00pm.
Order of events:
100m freestyle
50m butterfly
50m backstroke
50m breastroke
50m freestyle
100m individual medley
There are a maximum of three events per swimmer.
The age groups are as follows:
8yrs and under, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11 & 12yrs, 13yrs and over
Entry slips will be available from your coaching staff and
entries close on Friday 8th May
Come along and enjoy a fantastic event and support the kids.

Do you have a friend or relative who doesn’t know what to get your child for
their birthday, our Gift Vouchers could be just the thing!
You choose the amount and the recipient can choose the product or service
available at State Swim. For instance Gift Vouchers can be used for
swimming lessons, Lap Swimming Pass or Swim Shop items.
They are also a great idea from people living interstate. They can purchase
them over the phone with credit card and we can post it back to the address
of their choice.
REGISTRATION CARD
If you do not remember the last time you filled out a Registration Card,
please ask the Customer Service Officer at the front desk for a card for
each of the swimmers in your family
(400 Gold program, Health and Sport and Adults).
It is very important we have up to date information such as any medical
issues, change of address, phone number or email address.
Every person swimming at the school should have filled out a registration card.
