Thank you to all those mum's who continue to support their child's swimming
efforts by bringing them in regularly, rain hail or shine, for their swimming
lessons. Really, without mum's we'd all be in a constant state of confusion.

INTERSCHOOL CARNIVAL
NEW DATE SUNDAY 7th JUNE
Due to the ever increasing popularity of our Interschool Carnival we found the
need to shift the date and in the case of the northern swimming schools,
we have changed to location too.
For all of the Canning Vale Swimming School competitors,
your location and times are unchanged.
Canning Vale Swimming School at 39 Catalano Circuit.
Warm up is an 12.30pm, with the competition commencing at 1.00pm.
Order of events:
100m Freestyle
50m Butterfly
50m Backstroke
50m Breaststroke
50m Freestyle
100m Individual Medley
There are a maximum of three events per swimmer. The age groups are as follows: 8yrs and under, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11 & 12yrs, 13yrs and over
Please note the new closing date for entries is Friday 29th May.
Come along and enjoy a fantastic event and support the kids.
Anyone wanting to help out on the day, please see your head coach.
SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
Team Silver:Camilla Mendez
Camilla has been swimming at her best this month and continues to challenge
herself at each training session and is always brings an enthusiastic attitude
to training. Keep it up Camilla.
Team Gold: Courtney Shave
Courtney attends almost all squad training sessions and has been working really
hard on improving her strength and speed in her swimming. Courtney sets a
great example for the amount of commitment she has for swimming.
Well done Courtney.
HEALTH & SPORT NEWS
The South of the River, Interschool Carnival has been moved to
Sunday the 7th June and will still be held at Canning Vale Swimming School.
Make sure you get your entries in before the end of May! Warm up starts
at 12:30pm with the carnival starting at 1pm. GO CANNING VALE!
The April Super Swim went really well with all swimmers putting in 100% and
many personal best times being broken. A big thank you to all of the parents
who helped out on the night and who came down to support their swimmers.
Another big thank you goes to all of the coaches who also put in 110% into
coaching and preparing all of their swimmers for the Super Swim.
Remember that all children in 400 Gold are able to have a go in the Super Swims.
This month's Super Swim is on Wednesday 27th May. All team members and
400 Gold swimmers are encouraged to attend.
