WELCOME
Hope you all had a chance to put your feet up and relax for a while over the
Easter break. We have pleasure in bringing to you our competition winning
entries, Health & Sports News and of course 'our achievers' in this edition.
WE ARE DEFINATELY OPEN ON MONDAY 27th APRIL
Working parents are encouraged to come along and let your kids show off their
skillsto you. Please note that State Swim is
closed Saturday 25th April, ANZAC Day.

Thanks to all who entered our EASTER COLOURING IN COMPETITION.
We had a huge response with some sensational entries. Our foyers always
spring to life with the children's imaginative creations, pity they have to come
down, eventually! Now for our list of State Swim Gift Voucher recipients.
It's not winners as such but just a few that shone more brightly. You can
see them below in this month's newsletter.

INTERSCHOOL CARNIVAL
Get ready for it, just one month to go until the Interschool Carnival
is held on Sunday 17th May. Mark it on your calendar and prepare to represent
Secret Harbour Swimming School by applying those hard earned skills,
technique and your fitness against the other State Swim swimming schools.
Supporters are very welcome but must 'raise your voices' as cheering is a
prerequisite and wear something in Canning Vale Swimming School's
Team colour 'purple' . For our southern State Swim Swimming Schools,
Canning Vale, East Fremantle and Secret Harbour, you will go to the
Canning Vale Swimming School at 39 Catalano Circuit, Canning Vale.
Warm up is an 12.30pm, with the competition commencing at 1.00pm.
Order of events:
100m freestyle
50m butterfly
50m backstroke
50m breastroke
50m Freestyle
100m individual medley
There are a maximum of three events per swimmer. The age groups are as follows: 8yrs and under, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11 & 12yrs, 13yrs and over
Entry slips will be available from your coaching staff and
entries close on Friday 8th May
Come along and enjoy a fantastic event and support the kids.

Team Bronze: Katherine Paull
Katherine has recently been promoted to Team Silver and has shown a lot of strength and commitment to her swimming –Good job Katherine.
Team Silver: Caitlyn Lees
Caitlyn always performs at 100% at each training session and challenges herself with every drill and training program that is set for the training session. Keep it up!
Team Gold: Michelle Lim
Michelle has been swimming in the Health & Sport program for many years now and never fails to perform at her best. She always puts 100% into training and isn’t affraid to challenge herself with the extra distances the coaches set for her. Go Michelle!
HEALTH & SPORT NEWS
The March Super Swim had a fantastic turn out with more and more 400 Gold
swimmers attending. The night went really well with a number of parents
getting involved and helping out with timing on the night. Thank you so much
parents, family and friends. Also another big thank you to the coaches on the
night they did a great job of organizing the swimmers and recording the
swimmer's times. Many personal best times were broken on the night and
the strength and speed in all of the swimmers races shows that they have
been training hard in their session-
so keep up the good work!
Remember the Interschool Carnival is coming up (see full article) so keep up
the training. Get your family and friends to roll up in something in
Canning Vale Swimming School's team colour purple to further support you.
