Gym Blood Challenge

Join the Lords team in the Red Cross Blood Service’s Gyms Challenge. Gym members and staff from across Australia are encouraged to compete in order to receive the most donations and save lives.
Simply fill out a form available from Lords reception and place it in the pledge box by Wednesday 30 November.

With only three per cent of Australians donating blood, and more than 27 000 donations needed in Australia each week, it is vital we continue to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation. Lords’ support will assist in meeting the demands of patients who rely on regular lifesaving treatments of blood and blood products

Les Mills group fitness classes

Lords' two new Les Mills group fitness programs, SH’BAM ™and CXWORX™, are proving extremely popular.
If you haven’t already, come and join the smiling faces in our fun SH’BAM ™ classes.
One member was heard saying thats it’s too much fun to feel like exercise!
CXWORX™ is a thirty minute blitz for the whole body.  The class is so busy we have ordered more tubes and are considering squeezing more classes onto our already packed timetable.

If you are looking for something less intense but just as much fun, try the low impact Light and Active class on Tuesdays at 11.30am.

Show your membership card at Grill’d Subiaco and receive a free bottle of water when you buy a healthy burger or salad.

Think pink week

Thank you to all who donated to Breast Cancer Awareness during our pink group fitness week.  We raised over $550.   We particularly appreciate the generosity of the AQUA group who raised just over $400 of our grand total, amazing!

Exercise tip of the month

When you are performing resistance training (i.e. weight training) don’t just go through the motions, think about the muscles that you are trying to work. This will help recruit more muscle fibres to perform that action, and will lead to a much more effective workout.
